Academy of Finland grants funding for international research collaboration in mineral resources and material substitution
The Academy of Finland has made the funding decisions on the supplementary call opened in April within the Academy Programme Mineral Resources and Material Substitution (MISU). The funding is granted to support researchers engaged in international research collaboration. The aim of the funding is to support long-term research collaboration in the field of mineral resources with a view to promoting the creation and strengthening of collaborative research networks.
Three projects in total were funded. The teams were required to have had established a high-quality collaborative relationship with a foreign team. Other factors considered in decision-making included the support offered by the site of research, the estimated impact of the project, and how the project supplements the MISU programme contents.
The total amount applied for through the supplementary call was 6.3 million euros. The Academy’s funding for the projects amounts to 1 million euros.
