Academy of Finland’s call for research on key areas of green and digital transition to open in August
The Academy of Finland is allocating 25 million euros to fund research on key areas of green and digital transition in 2021. The call for applications will open on 11 August and close on 8 September. The funding decisions will be made by the end of the year.
In line with the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and Finland’s Sustainable Growth Programme, this special funding by the Academy will support the dual green and digital transition. The funding is intended for research that promotes solutions related to carbon neutrality and adaptation to climate change as well as related digital technologies. The aim is to strengthen existing competence clusters in this thematic area and also to promote competence development outside the clusters.
Funding can be applied for by multidisciplinary consortia working in cooperation with different actors and end-users of research results. The Academy invites applications from all fields of research. The decisions will be made so as to ensure that the projects to be funded focus on measures supporting both the green and digital transition.
