NOS-HS Project Grants for early-career researchers
The Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) provides funding for investigator-driven research projects and exploratory workshops. The Academy of Finland’s Research Council for Culture and Society participates in NOS-HS activities. The Research Council will also co-fund the NOS-HS call for proposals for Project Grants for early-career researchers.
This new call aims to provide an opportunity for early-career researchers to build Nordic networks and to promote Nordic added value in research. The research projects must include partners from research performing organisations in at least four Nordic countries.
The applicant must be a qualified researcher with 2–7 years of experience since PhD completion (or equivalent) and employed by the host institution during the grant period.
Applicants are invited to apply for funding to establish a Nordic research project with a budget of up to NOK 8 million and a duration of three years. The earliest start date is July 2023.
The NOS-HS Secretariat is based at NordForsk in Oslo since 1 January 2022. Applications are submitted through the NordForsk Application Portal. The call closes on 15 November 2022 at 13.00 CET.
