Open access to peer-reviewed articles – what projects funded from calls opened before 1 January 2021 should know

The Research Council of Finland requires that projects funded from calls opened before 1 January 2021 make their scientific publications openly available. This particularly applies to peer-reviewed articles, but we also recommend open access for other types of publications.

In these funding decisions, the required openness differs somewhat from the definition of open access and the practices of financing open access introduced by the Research Council in the funding terms applicable as of 1 January 2021.
