RRF Impact Story Workshop
Welcome to the RRF impact story workshop on Monday 25th November 2024!
This impact story training will help you identify the impact of your research and write an impact story of it. The training will also support the research communication of projects and institutions.
Describing research impact demonstrates the significance of the research to society, facilitates the translation of knowledge into practice, and helps to justify the use of resources for research. In the context of RRF-funded projects, it is essential not only to report outcomes but also to highlight the results, effects, and overall impact.
This is crucial for evaluating Sustainable Growth Programme for Finland and for reporting to the European Commission, showing how RRF funding has advanced the green and digital transitions, while also strengthening related RDI competence centers and expertise. Clear communication of these impacts ensures transparency and underscores the value of investments in these key areas.
In this training, we will work on the impact stories in a workshop mode.
This part of the training is intended for those who will be involved in communicating impact (for example writing the impact story for the project report). Participants are required to write a draft of the impact story before attending the impact story workshop, using the information and tips given in the first part of the training. The impact story will be finalized after the workshop, and the educators can give written feedback about the impact story. The written impact stories can be used as part of the RRF reporting, and should be made publicly available.
The language of the training is English.
It is only possible to participate in this part of the training live in Helsinki. The event starts at 10.00, coffee and light snacks are available from 9.30.
Participation is limited to researchers in RRF-funded projects or infrastructures, and to max. 35 participants.
